Critical Illness and Accident Claim Process

We would like to express our sincere sympathies for the events that led you here, and also wish you a speedy recovery. We'll do our best to support you in this difficult time, and make the claims process as smooth as possible.

In the event of an injury or a critical illness, you, as the claimant, can use the following process to apply for a claim.

CLAIM INTIMATION

To register your claim, you need to intimate us within 90 calendar days from the date of the event. For intimation, please send an email to life.claims@tameen.ae with the following details.

 

We will send you your claim reference number within 3 working days of receiving your intimation email.

 

  • Policy number
  • Diagnosis or reason for the illness/accident
  • Date when the illness was diagnosed or the accident occurred
  •  

     

    CLAIM PROCESSING

    For us to start processing your claim, please send all required documents to life.claims@tameen.ae. You can expect to receive the applicable claim settlement and/or our response within 14 working days of submitting the completed set of documents.

    For any queries or to follow up on your settlement, please get in touch with your relationship manager.

     

    DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

  • Duly filled claim form
  • Duly filled physician statement form filled by the treating doctor
  • Medical report from the treating doctor detailing the illness and the treatment provided
  • All medical records showing the history of the illness
  • Copy of the passport and the visa page
  • Duly filled employer statement form (in case of a critical illness)
  • Police report (in case of a critical illness)

    * Oman Insurance Company reserves its right to ask for additional documents as may be required and relevant for claim assessment. 

     

     

    CLAIM SETTLEMENT

    If the claim is approved, discharge receipt will be sent to the client for confirmation of the claim amount payable within 7 working days of submitting the claim forms and the documents.

     

    The client needs to sign and stamp the discharge receipt. Once this is received, the amount will be transferred to their bank account within 14 working days.
